aim4art is a voluntary community arts group, formed in 2009, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of painting and drawing in the Tees Valley. We aim to paint, aim to draw, aim to create art. We meet every Tuesday (10am-4pm) at The Barn, overlooking Hemlington Lake, Middlesbrough, TS8 9DA. We have no regular tutor, but support each other and organise a programme of visits and workshops. Phil Reynolds Workshop - May 2019
This was our first workshop of 2019. York artist, Phil, gave us an entertaining and instructive demo and workshop on seascapes. Phil's approach was to produce an initial charcoal drawing, which was over-painted with acrylic, mixed either with flow improver or gel medium to provide texture, but allowing the charcoal to show through in places.
