Eve

I'm sure all of us will be greatly saddened at the passing of Eve Hudson. We all admired the spirit with which she fought cancer, and the level of motivation that kept her painting at a rate some of us couldn't match even when fit and well.

Eve tackled a wide range of subjects with energy, flair and determination. I expect everyone will have paintings by Eve they particularly remember. In my case it's the wild seascapes which earned her a distinction at CCAD, her majestic pictures of Malham Cove and her dramatic portrayals of Darlington Station, one of which featured in our Spirit of Place Exhibition. Hopefully, the examples below will speak for themselves.

Four That Got Away

The problem with our Flight Exhibition was that we only had space to hang one each. Consequently, there is quite a lot of quality work that has yet to be shown. Here are some examples (posted by Rob):

2014 Celebration Evening

Our 5th Anniversary Celebration on Friday 13th June was a great success, despite the inauspicious date. The new venue proved highly suitable allowing us to display our collages in one room, while using the other for other recent work. As hoped '7 Deadly Sins' collection proved greater than the sum of its parts. Thanks to everyone for their support both in preparing the venue and providing food and and drink. Thanks also from Rob who came with a load of meatballs and went home with a silver plate to put them on. Much appreciated!

Here are some pictures, but please upload more if you have them:
