Richard's Own Picture of York Minster
aim4art is a voluntary community arts group, formed in 2009, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of painting and drawing in the Tees Valley. We aim to paint, aim to draw, aim to create art. We meet every Tuesday (10am-4pm) at The Barn, overlooking Hemlington Lake, Middlesbrough, TS8 9DA. We have no regular tutor, but support each other and organise a programme of visits and workshops. Richard Barnes Workshop
Richard's workshop focussed on freely rendered urban landscapes using acrylics. It was one of those days that generated enough fresh work to mount a new exhibition, and it was a pity really that we weren't able to organise an earlier date to inspire our 'Not the Transporter Bridge' exhibition. Rather belatedly here are some photos of the group and the results.
