Owing to the wintry conditions, attendance for the first meeting at our new venue was a bit down, though not quite as sparse as this photo would suggest:
The view outside was certainly picturesque. Thanks to Julia for sending the photos below - I especially like no3. Thanks also to Julia, Paul and their helpers for going to rescue 2 cupboards (now placed in the kitchen at The Barn) and the lampshades. Anyone for an installation?

aim4art is a voluntary community arts group, formed in 2009, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of painting and drawing in the Tees Valley. We aim to paint, aim to draw, aim to create art. We meet every Tuesday (10am-4pm) at The Barn, overlooking Hemlington Lake, Middlesbrough, TS8 9DA. We have no regular tutor, but support each other and organise a programme of visits and workshops. New Year New Venue
At a meeting on Tuesday, with the vast majority of members present, we voted unanimously to leave Nature's World and move to Hemlington Recreation Centre. Our first meeting at our new venue will be next week, Tuesday 15th January.
I'm sure we all hope the current problems at Nature's World are resolved and wish the staff there the best of luck for the future.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to all our members! Seems I jumped the gun a bit with the last post. It looks like we'll be meeting as usual at Nature's World on Tuesday, January 7th. Look forward to seeing you all.

Venue Update
Given the current uncertainty about the future of our Nature's World venue, we decided at a meeting today that we would ask Julia to book the Hemlington Recreation Centre for the first few Tuesdays after Christmas. Everyone was agreed that the most important thing was to keep the group going. Look out for email updates!

After The Slump
More results from our glass workshop. Here flat plates of glass have been moulded into a waveform.
Selection followed by Full Group, which, for some reason I can't get the right way round!

Nature's World
Uncertainty over our future at Nature's World led to an unexpected but efficient evacuation of most of our stuff last Tuesday. Well done, everybody!
However, we hope that this was all a false alarm and will be meeting as normal on Tuesday 11th Dec. Fingers crossed!

Glass Workshop 2
Here are some results from the second of our two glass workshops. We're now just waiting for the slump....
