This Friday I was off to the Rheged Centre, just outside Penrith to see The Lakes Artists Society Winter exhibition. It was certainly worth a visit (it's open until February 2nd) though I didn't think it was as good as the 2012 summer exhibition in Grasmere.
What particularly caught my eye was a couple of pictures that conjured up the subject of 'Flight': Fiona Clucas' wonderful 'Arctic Blues' and Alan Stones' 'Take Flight' Click on the names to visit their websites
aim4art is a voluntary community arts group, formed in 2009, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of painting and drawing in the Tees Valley. We aim to paint, aim to draw, aim to create art. We meet every Tuesday (10am-4pm) at The Barn, overlooking Hemlington Lake, Middlesbrough, TS8 9DA. We have no regular tutor, but support each other and organise a programme of visits and workshops. london printmakers exhibition at richmond station
One of my resolutions is to get out and about to more exhibitions so
I followed in Robs footsteps to see this showing
at the Station Richmond. Fabulous use of a building anyway
and the range and style of prints was just fantastic. Want to do an etching now!
