aim4art is a voluntary community arts group, formed in 2009, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of painting and drawing in the Tees Valley. We aim to paint, aim to draw, aim to create art. We meet every Tuesday (10am-4pm) at The Barn, overlooking Hemlington Lake, Middlesbrough, TS8 9DA. We have no regular tutor, but support each other and organise a programme of visits and workshops. At Last A Workshop For 2018
Owing to the upheaval associated with the move to our new venue, and the time taken to settle in, it's a long time since our last workshop. However, last Tuesday we invited the well known local artist, Alan Morley, to lead a session on abstract landscape. Alan opened with an interesting talk and demo before we settled down to creating our own interpretations of the idea. here are photos from the session.

aim4art lives!
With our 'Freeze The Moment' Exhibition behind us, and as we begin to settle down in our new venue, this month feels like a fairly quiet moment in aim4art's history. However, our committee meeting next week may suggest some new directions and call for some big decisions. After all,we're not a group to stand still. So do come to the meeting if you can and air your views.
Meanwhile, many of us are working on pictures for our 'Inspired By Nature' exhibition at Saltholme in July.
