In November 2015, Julie Macbean gave us a really interesting workshop introducing us to bookbinding using Japanese Stab binding.
The picture shows an example, featuring the interesting pattern of stitching.
We're hoping to put on further workshops by Julie on bookbinding and printing later in 2016.
aim4art is a voluntary community arts group, formed in 2009, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of painting and drawing in the Tees Valley. We aim to paint, aim to draw, aim to create art. We meet every Tuesday (10am-4pm) at The Barn, overlooking Hemlington Lake, Middlesbrough, TS8 9DA. We have no regular tutor, but support each other and organise a programme of visits and workshops. aim4art Display at MIMA
The invitation to display work at MIMA as part of their ground-breaking 'Localism' exhibition has been one of our greatest highlights to date. It feels really good to be part of this new departure for MIMA, whose new management deserve every credit for promoting local artists past and present.
